  1. In your own words, can you describe the nature of your business?

    Better4Media is a Bulgarian based company but we have a lot of freelancers worldwide. We specialize in affiliate marketing and work with different clients internationally to provide SEO solutions to increase their traffic, their clients and their revenue etc.

  2. What is your role in the company? Tell us a little about your key responsibilities.

    I’m the CEO and my work focuses on the financial side. I work with accountancy, payments, invoicing, figuring out how to save money and finding new solutions. That’s why I came to TalentDesk.

  3. How many freelancers do you use and where are they located?

    We have 49 freelancers which we pay through TalentDesk - and this is the biggest help I could find. 

    Before, we paid each one manually. Every freelancer was paid with a wire transfer from our bank. Paying freelancers one by one was time consuming because every payment was taking at least 5 minutes. That meant paying 40 people, two times per month, was taking 1-2 hours. 

    Since our freelancers are mostly located in the Philippines, some would be using Revolut and some would use Indian or Philippine banks. This was very costly. We paid roughly 10 per wire, meaning that paying 40 people would cost us 400. Because we were making payments twice a month, we were paying 800 per month on bank fees alone. We had one year where in total we paid 10,000 in fees.

  4. What specific problems were you looking to solve when you decided to look for a management system for your contractors?

    I decided to find a company to help with all the above. We want to reduce time and cost when onboarding and paying our team.

  5. What would you say was the biggest pain-point or challenge you were facing?

    Paying people globally and on time. This is the main thing TalentDesk helps us with.

  6. What systems or processes were you using to manage, pay and organize your external talent before you switched to a Freelancer Management System?

    We mostly paid our freelancers through the bank or through PayPal. We worked with 2 or 3 separate Google sheets manually, and this was madness for our accountancy team.

    Time saving and cost saving. TalentDesk also helps with productivity because I have more time for more important things.

  8. How would you approximately quantify the benefits from our platform?

    Our payment time has reduced 90% - even 99% because it’s 1 payment versus 100 payments. We also save costs with international payments. Maybe 3-4 hours in a month is saved since we no longer have to pay manually.
