Opportunities - What are they and how do they work?

Our Opportunities feature allows you as a manager to post projects as ‘opportunities’ to your entire provider network. Providers can then apply to work on these projects as they are posted, giving you a chance to review their applications and decide if you’d like to accept them to work on the project.

To create an Opportunity follow the below steps:

1. Go to Opportunities under the Projects section on your left sidebar

2. Click ‘New opportunity’

3. You’ll then be asked to fill in the project details/brief (this is the same page you’re taken to when you click on ‘Create project’

4. Complete this section including the Project title, Project brief, and Project settings. There are also optional fields for Deadlines, Skills, Attachments etc.

5. Click ‘Create project’

Once the Opportunity is created it will appear on the Opportunities board which is visible to all providers within your TalentDesk network and available for them to apply for.

6. To view active Opportunities created by your organization go to Projects > Opportunities

7. To see any applications submitted by your providers click on the ‘View Applications’ button next to the relevant project

8. You’ll be taken to the list of provider applicants. Note: You can also view the list of applicants to a particular project by locating the project within the My Projects section and clicking on the Applicants tab. This only applies to projects that have been set up as Opportunities.

9. You can then review each provider's application and choose whether you wish to ‘Accept’ or ‘Reject’ their application to join the project

If you ‘Accept’ them onto the project they’ll then be added as a project team member and can begin working.
